This fine Pinot Noir and is a stimulating example of a hand-made wine created with minimal intervention. It is so different, not polished, but full of character. Some of the grape bunches are left whole and crushed under their own weight to create some spice notes. The Payten and Jones guys do not disappoint with this VV Pinot Noir from the cooler climate of the Yarra Valley. Ripe Red cherries and plums prevail, with a sweet spice follow up. Do yourself a favour, it`s terrific.
