Puligny Montrachet 1er Cru Champs Gains Alain Chavy 2022

Alain Chavy has forged a reputation for crafting Puligny-Montrachet which captures the balance of salinity, power and elegance particular to this village. The domaine also possesses the deepest underground cellar in Puligny, at a depth of 5.5 metres. The Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru `Les Champs Gains` comes from two parcels planted between 1958 and 1962. The limestone soils are 20cm in depth which lend a particular salinity to the finished wine. Characterised by precise acidity and notes of peach and ripe lemon, the palate displays a mineral freshness and a long intense finish.
