Sourdais Les Quatre Ferrures Chinon 2022

On average, once every decade, Bruno Sourdais produces Chinon from a single vineyard. The grapes are usually incorporated into his basic ‘Bouchardière’ cuvée. ‘Les Quatre Ferrures’ is an unremarkable looking parcel located on the plain next to the Vienne but occasionally delivers something spectacular. The 2022 vintage has just been released. The parcel takes its name from the stoney ground which used to break the shoes of the horses that once worked the land.
